The Practice Payment Problem
Patient responsibility keeps rising, and the tools to collect it have not changed: a copay at check-in, a paper statement thirty days after the claim settles, another one thirty days later, and a growing balance nobody wants to call about. Meanwhile the front desk keys cards into a terminal between check-ins, at the worst rates and with every card number passing through a person.
FloPay moves collection to the patient's phone. The copay is paid by link at check-in or before. The post-adjudication balance goes out by text the day it is known, with a pay button. Larger treatment plans become a down payment plus installments the patient signs for on the same page, and the card or bank account stays on file for the rest of the plan. Reminders go out on your schedule and stop when the balance is paid.
From Visit to Paid
Copay by link
A text-to-pay link at check-in, or the day before, collects the copay without the terminal. Patients who prefer the desk use the virtual terminal.
Card on file with consent
The patient agrees to keep a card or bank account on file for balances, with the consent language recorded, so later charges carry the right stored-credential flags.
Balance the day it is known
When the claim adjudicates, the balance goes out by text and email with the link. No statement cycle.
Treatment plans, split
Elective and larger plans become a down payment plus installments with an e-signed agreement, charged on schedule with smart retries.
Remind and reconcile
Reminders carry the link and stop when paid; payments post by patient and sync to QuickBooks Online.

Why Practices Switch
Balances Collected
A text with a pay button the day the balance is known collects a share of patient responsibility that statements never reach.
Plans Accepted
A signed installment plan with autopay lets the patient accept the recommended treatment instead of the affordable half.
Cards Out of the Office
Payment details are entered by the patient on the hosted page and stored as tokens, which keeps the practice in the smallest PCI scope.

Talk to SalesFrequently Asked Questions
-
Does any patient health information pass through FloPay?
The hosted payment page collects the payment: name, amount, a reference you choose, and the payment method. It is not a clinical system and does not need chart data. What you put in the reference and messages is up to your practice's policies; a balance amount and an account number are typical.
-
Can patients pay a large treatment plan over time?
Yes. Set a down payment and a schedule of installments; the patient signs the agreement on the hosted page and the installments are charged automatically to the stored card or bank account, with retries on soft declines and a reminder before each charge.
-
Does FloPay integrate with my practice-management system?
FloPay provides a REST API and signed webhooks for payment and order events, and syncs with QuickBooks Online. Contact sales to discuss the system your practice uses.
